Immunity Boosting Smoothie
It’s that time of year to boost your immune system! This vibrant green smoothie will kick your New Year off in the right direction with a ton of health benefits such as:
- Pineapple – includes a natural enzyme called bromelain, which is helpful for preventing inflammation and digestive issues.
- Banana – provides natural sweetness, the electrolyte potassium, and 3g of fiber.
- Turmeric – has a variety of benefits from increasing antioxidant absorption to preventing cancer. Turmeric contains curcumin, which has powerful anti-inflammatory effects. Black pepper helps enhance the absorption of curcumin in the body.
- Spinach – may benefit eye health, reduce oxidative stress, help prevent cancer, and reduce blood pressure levels.

IMMUNITY BOOSTING SMOOTHIE
Serving size: 1 smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen ripe banana
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 2-3 cups organic spinach
- 2″ fresh ginger, peeled
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tablespoon honey
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2-3/4 cup almond milk
- Garnish: pomegranate seeds and a sprinkle black pepper
Directions:
1. In a large high-powered blender, add in all ingredients and blend on high for 1-2 minutes or until all ingredients are well combined. If necessary, add in more almond milk to thin the smoothie.
2. Garnish with pomegranate seeds, if desired.
